Stunning Ga’u or Gao in sterling Silver and red Coral, interesting for the fine workmanship and the cure with which this traditional object was realized, typical of the Tibet area and of neighboring countries such as Bhutan, Ladakh, Nepal and the India Himalayan regions of Lahaul and Spiti.
The base made in sterling silver bears in its center a beautiful coral cabochon cut (1.3×0.9cm), completely surrounded by other small red corals, cabochon cut as well, that repeat themselves also all around the side of the jewel to further decorate this already exceptionally beautiful pendant.
The bottom part can be opened to reveal the inner compartment, a characteristic of this particular jewel.
For the accuracy of the work and the choice of materials used, this pendant is certainly comparable to the sought after jewelry of Native Americans, famous for the great skills of local silversmiths, adept at creating true masterpieces.
