Sterling silver Celtic harp Pendant.
The harpists formed a hereditary guild, and were organized as a religious order. The harpist was held in high regard by all the courts where he practiced his art, accompanying with the instrument his many stories that spoke of love, war, friendship, magic. Such was his influence on people in fifteenth and sixteenth centuries that many rulers enacted legislation to limit the power of the bards.
