Splendid old Shell, carved and engraved entirely by hand, typical of the Moorish handicraft.
Worn both by women and Guedra dancers (a love-ritual dance, performed by women for men), these hair decorations can achieve great magnificence when each braid is decorated with pendants, shell discs called el bot min teffon and triangular-shaped talismans called khourb and made in green, red and brown glass.
These traditional hair decorations can also be used to embellish clothes and belts.
For us they can also be stunning collector’s items.
