Old silver pendant typical of Central Asia, with a motif often recurring in Turkmen crafts.
Its special shape reminds of the pre-Islamic symbolism of stylized birds’ heads; the central carnelian, as well as enhancing the jewel’s elegance, has a protective function, as the six pendants hanging in the lower part. On the back, interesting are their attacks to the main part which bring further decor to the piece.
