E’ inciso da entrambi i lati e riproduce il disco di Festo, reperto archeologico ritrovato sull’isola di Creta.
L’originale è di terracotta e viene fatto risalire al 1700 a.C., contiene 241 simboli non ancora decifrati e proprio per questo viene tuttora considerato un mistero dell’archeologia: alcuni pensano possa essere un sillabario, altri un alfabeto o una logografia.

Sterling silver small Pendant engraved on both sides to reproduce the disc of Phaistos, archaeological find found on the island of Crete.
The original is made of terracotta and dates back to 1700 BC, features 241 tokens symbols not yet deciphered and for this reason is still considered a mystery of archeology: some think it could be a syllabary, others an alphabet or logography.
